Shangshad Bhaban

Parliament house, Shangshad Bhaban is located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.It was designed by the famous American architect Luis Kahn. It is a fabulous structure. It houses all parliamentary activities of Bangladesh. Construction of the Jatiya Shangshad Bhaban began in 1961 by the Government of Pakistan.The total area of the Shangshad Bhaban are 200 acres.The Parliament Chamber is the most important part of the Main Plaza. The Main Plaza is 823,000 square feet. This have also two podiums and two galleries for VIP Only the Jatiyo Sangshad complex is open to visitors.
